Rest day. The beach. We drove 45 minutes to find the sun. After weeks of Vancouver dreariness it was worth the wait. Sun on cheeks, wind in hair, sand between toes, bucket in hand, fresh air, endless blue with picnic on the shore.
Refreshed. (p.s. please excuse my bad editing, just learning some new features on picasa):
boy meets oyster
superdad, superhusband
babin
"how am I supposed to fit all that water in my bucket?"
boy. beach. a whole new world.
"Silas, look at the camera!"
"Silas, over here, look up, smile! Cheese. Nope.
You know that your child is a product of the west coast when the sun comes out and they whine and complain "too bright." Every time we are in the car and the sun is shining on Silas he needs a blanket to hide under. Figures.
But after weeks of endless darkness he didn't seem to mind the light...
